Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing or using PocketBill (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PocketBill is a local-first expense, asset and subscription tracker. Core features work entirely on your own device, with optional encrypted cloud backup and sync through Google Sign-In.

2. Accounts & Sign-In

• Signing in is optional. You may use every core feature without creating an account.
• When you sign in with Google, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including (but not limited to): attempting to access another user's data, reverse-engineering the app, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

• Free tier: unlimited expense, item and income tracking free forever.
• Pro: an optional paid subscription adds power features such as cloud sync, calendar views, receipt scanning, and item photos. Fees are shown in the app and handled by the Apple App Store / Google Play via our subscription provider RevenueCat.
• Subscription renewals and cancellations are managed directly in the App Store or Google Play. We do not process your payment directly.

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. Your records are stored locally on your device by default, and cloud sync is opt-in.

6. Intellectual Property

PocketBill and its content are owned by the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer the Service, except as permitted by law.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and uninstall the app. If you have an account, you may request deletion as described on our Account & Data Deletion page.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the app's content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you have paid for the Service in the past twelve months.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
